QUALIFYING
Just like Formula 1, this session has all karts on the track for 15 minutes aiming to clock the fastest lap time possible, which then determines the starting order for Race 1. It includes our big bright countdown timer so drivers can see how much time is left, and thus apply whatever strategy they see fit. Given this is the first session of the event, it gives drivers time to warm up, get settled and also overcome any mechanical issues if need be. One good lap is all that's needed.

RACES & FINAL
To calculate the starting order for the Final, each driver's finishing place from races 1-3 is added together, and the driver with the lowest number takes pole position for the Final. For example, a driver who comes 1st, 3rd and then 4th in the races has a combined score of 8. The lower the number, the better.

HOT LAP SESSION
Similar to qualifying - but with no bearing on the final - this session has all karts on the track aiming to record the fastest lap time within a short time period of 5 minutes from the green flag - and on cold tyres after the break. This is an extra opportunity to grab some championship points.

Races usually consist of 9 laps, and the final an extended 15 laps. In total about 70 laps of racing are conducted during a single event - this may vary depending on the track configuration used, and its length.

All racing is commenced with a rolling start behind a pace kart.
