Romano admits to crew cloning

Disgraced team Romano Racing have finally admitted at a press conference to cloning their entire team during the 2007 Sydney Karting Series season.

Having already been thrown out of the 2008 season - before it'd even started - for sharing confidential Spyker data with anyone who visited their website, this new revelation has caused the IAF to ban Romano Racing from the SKS permanently for "illicitly collecting, holding and re-using DNA to confer a dishonest and fraudulent sporting advantage" (abridged version).

Spokesman Andrew Roma revealed that "we started cloning a couple of people late in 2006, and found them to be so handy we made them all Andrew Romas' by the middle of last year. We didn't think anyone would notice because Andrew Roma is such a great guy.
"It was a wonderful system in that everyone was able to have a drive, even taking turns during a race if one of us needed to go to the toilet."

Cracks began to appear in their secret however towards the end of the 2007 SKS when one of the clones turned out to be a woman (pictured above - second from the left).

"Andrea is everything I like in a woman" said Andrew. "She's perfect."

With exclusion from the 2008 SKS as a result of Clonegate, Romano Racing motorsport days are clearly over. The crew however were seen auditioning last week for singer Robert Palmer's new film clip titled "Simply Indistinguishable".
